First Look: Les Mis Trailer!!

It's no secret that we were against Anne Hathaway getting a part in anything Les Miserables from the very beginning. As well as Batman. We think that the parts she get would be better suited by actresses we actually like, which means she just hijacks great roles from other well-deserving actresses. But whatever. It's been cast, so we decided to suck it up and move on.

But without Lea Michele and with Anne Hathaway, we weren't sold. At all.

 Until we saw the trailer.

Needless to say, Anne owns it. Yes, her rendition isn't what we've heard from some of the powerhouses who have covered "I Dreamed A Dream" in the past, but the song is not supposed to be a big number; just an emotional one. And you can not watch this video and say it's anything other than emotional. Great job, bitch. You won us over.

And Amanda Seyfried, you never have to worry about winning us over. You had us at "If you're from Africa, why are you white?"

Work It Out: Tanning

Sorry for my delay of post. If it's not allergies, it's a downed internet router. Ugh.

Anyway, as Summer graciously crossed our thresholds this past weekend, everyone and their mother found some sort of outdoor activity to participate in. Between the swimming, barbecuing, sport playing, or just plain laying out in the sun with a good book and a beer--we've all been secretly outside hoping to get that summer glow started right. But the downside to that summer glow, is the summer burn. And trust this Irish/German girl with the fair complexion--NO amount of glow can make a bad burn worth it.

So, if we want to avoid the burn altogether, what should we do? What else is there besides a tanning bed and the God-Given tanning bed in all of our backyards? And most importantly, which one of those methods are celebs using?

The first one that comes to mind is air brushing. It lasts about a week, is mess free, and takes about 10 minutes to do. If you watch any episode of the OC housewives on Bravo, I'm sure you know what I'm talking about, as those bitches get sprayed at least once an episode.

RHOC Alexis, gettin' her spray on!

Next up is sunless tanning lotion. Now this is the obvious go to choice for those of us who aren't too fond of the UV rays in the tanning beds and sunshine. A bottle of some Jergens Natural Glow and we're good. Just be careful you don't get it on your hands--or else you'll look like you gave an oompa loompa a happy ending. There are tons of sunless tanning lotions endorsed by celebs. I mean hell, Snooki has her own line of tanning products.

If these two aren't cutting it for you, then fine, bite the bullet and go lay in the sun. The sun is better for you than a tanning bed, simply because there are less UV rays involved. And the less UV exposure the better. But please sweet jesus put on SOME sunblock. You don't wanna make the same mistakes I me.

The Apparition

Things We Love:
Ashley Greene. Sebastian Stan. Tom Felton. Scary movies.

Things We Hate:
About this movie? Nothing.

This is the first time we've heard anything about this movie, but after watching the trailer, we are hooked. While ghost movies aren't typically our cup of horror movie tea, we'll watching anything with Ashley Greene in it. Plus, we've always believed that believing is what makes things real (The Secret, anyone?), so seeing that plot come to life will be great. (It's also why we refuse to believe in ghosts/aliens/etc... we don't play with that Devil shit.) But it's still fun to watch a movie about it.

Watch the trailer below and be sure to comment - do you believe in ghosts?!

"I'm All Yours" - Pitbull and Jay Sean

While we at Sexy Trash love Pitbull's music, there's no denying that he is one of the ugliest men in the music scene right now. However, we usually have no reason to watch his videos, so that's not a problem. His sick beats playing while we have one hand holding a drink and one hand on a cute stranger's hips is more than enough for us.

But now he goes and teams up with Jay Sean, one of the sexiest men in the music scene. So we're forced to watch their video for "I'm All Yours," off of Jay's upcoming album, "Worth It All." Luckily for us, Pitbull has been edited into the video in post-production, so there's not much of him in the video. More Jay screen time, which, let's face it - is nothing we'll ever complain about.

American Idol WINNER!!!!

And we have a WINNER!!!!! Before we get to that, let's talk about some of the guest appearances on the show....the good, the bad, and the ugly, AND the leather/cat suits memo we missed.  Well let's talk about the good....well of course one of our season favorite Skylar Laine was back and sang with her country idol Reba McEntire. Now I didn't enjoy Skylar's outfit, but Reba looked amazing and they sounded phenominal together.  Well take a look at their performance of "Turn On the Radio.

Now next is the bad AND the wasn't pretty.  And for once, it really nothing to do with the music performances, but actually the clothing.  Catsuits were a trend hitting the Idol stage, but I must have missed the memo.  Previous Idol winner Fantastia, who shocked us with her appearance and totally unflattering catsuit was matched with Chaka Khan's surprising and also not the most flattering matching brown ensemble.  Now Chaka I thought, more power to you hunty...but Fantastia, uh uh girl. Take a look at our ladies below....I'm just saying...that a catsuit does not look good on everyone.

Our last celebrity encounter with a little bit of good, but a bit of ugly was Jessica Sanchez and Jennifer Holliday's performance of "And I am Telling You...." Now don't get my wrong, I love to belt this song out like no other and who better to sing it but the original Broadway Effie and the 16 year old soul sister.  But girl, it turned into an all out screaming....I'm not leaving..........AHHH....WAHHH...fest. Now it left me 'amen-ing' but I was also a little bit scared by the ugly faces that this screaming and belting caused Jennifer to make. you go. OH my.....

There were many more performances that made the finally great including the boys with Neil Diamond, who although he didn't quite have it, sang "Sweet Caroline".....BAH BAH BAH!

Oh and we almost forgot, our winner......Phillip Phillips!!!!!!! We just love this guy, although he's very Dave Matthews as we've said before...he's a breath of fresh air and unique talent to the Idols. Plus, as you'll see by his final performance, he seems SO down to Earth and a humble guy.

Best of luck to both Phillip and Jessica, we'll be watching for your albums...along with many of the Idols this season! Stay tuned each week coming for So You Think You Can Dance posts!!!!

Oh What's That About? Thursdays on NBC

I'll be honest--for a long time, NBC was the last channel you'd find me on come Thursday night. There was just something about Steve Carell, Alec Baldwin, and Joel McHale slammed up against each other that I...didn't care about. I didn't think it was all that funny, and frankly, I didn't like that everyone was wetting themselves over Rainn Wilson's "Dwight Shrute" character.

But I was young and naive then (and by then I mean maybe 2 years ago).

Now, I look forward to Thursday nights. And it stinks that based off the headlines, I won't have much to look forward to come next season. The media have been jumping up and down about the Thursday night line-up getting hacked to bits next season. Some think it's because Alec Baldwin's an ass (which, I'll admit, he kind of is). Some are still in the mindset I was in thinking the shows just weren't funny. But regardless of why--a good chunk of these NBC documentary-style comedies are seeing the light at the end of their tunnels.

But what shows am I talking about? What's so special about the NBC Thursday night line up?

Let's start from the beginning of the line up (NOTE: The line up of shows to which I am referring are not airing at the moment, they're in between seasons. So don't turn to NBC Thursday night and be dismayed at another round of performances on America's Got Talent).

Diva of the Week

This diva has been in the news lately and has been brought back to life in the new hit tv show "SMASH".  We honored one of her protrayers Katherine McPhee a few weeks ago as our Diva of the Week.  The life she had was not an easy one, and being the 50th anniversary of her death, we honor this real life, natural beauty queen.  Our diva this week is Marilyn Monroe.

From just simple life, little town Norma Jean this girl bloomed into a starlet of epic proportions.  She was a blonde bombshell with personality and the looks to boot.  According to today's standards, Marilyn was actually plus sized.  She was not plus sized by far, just a natural/normal size. Men loved her and the women loved to hate her.  She's been linked with plenty of men, Arthur Miller, JFK, and the like, but her all time love was her one time husband Joe DiMaggio.  He was her first love and I believe her last.  Rumours are to have been that he was her last phone call before her untimely and sudden death in 1962.

Marilyn like many young stars found herself in the midst of the press, prescription drugs, and scandal.  But all the time she still remained the our dear old Hollywood starlet that we knew and loved.  We can't forget her most famous song, "Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend" from Gentlemen Prefer Blondes. That song has been circulated in many films including Burlesque and Moulin Rouge. We also love her iconic scene from The Seven Year Itch, in she, in that famous white halter dress, stands over the subway grate and has her skirt blown up by the gust of air.

We love that SMASH is bringing Marilyn back to life and honoring the life that she had and that we lost.  Our girls Megan Hilty and Katherine McPhee bring out the best of Marilyn in many ways.  We love the show and would see the musical Bombshell immediately if it were to come to Broadway.

We honor this diva and thank her for giving our divas thereafter a place to start. She was the epitomy of natural beauty and the starlet that girls strive to be. Here is one of her last photos taken, a smile to remember.

Imperfection is beauty, madness is genius and it's better to be absolutely ridiculous than absolutely boring.”  ---Marilyn Monroe

CBS Sherlock Holmes Preview Released

And I have no idea what to do with it.

Here's a recently released "Behind the Scenes Preview" of the CBS drama "Elementary", which we reported earlier as being an American, modern version of Sherlock Holmes.

This is not to be confused with the British, modern day version of Sherlock Holmes "Sherlock" currently between seasons 2 and 3 over at the BBC. Though alot of fans of the BBC show are crying foul.

In this version, we have "Joan Watson", who is Holmes'...sober coach? Who's goal is to stick around and help him kick some addiction? I'm not sure if that's a pill I'm okay to swallow. I'm not even sure if "Joan Watson" is alright with me yet.

On paper, there's nothing to stop me from watching this show...but I feel I've fallen prey to the same trap as every other fan of BBC's "Sherlock".

It it's not these two, then I'm not interested.

Fashion Friday: Lazy Celeb Fashion

Since I missed my post last Friday (the days are truly getting away from me anymore), my laziness forgetfulness has inspired this week's installment of lazy celebrity fashion.  I get it, they're real people, but sometimes we forget and want to marvel in the fact that celebrities do wear sweatsuits.  I know some paps get celebs coming from the gym, in sweats, but that's not what we're approaching here.

Today, we're looking at your average, every-day celebrity, bummin' it.   Buckle your seat-belts - there are a lot of polyester-cotton blends in your future.

Mariah Carey
Girl, if you're going to wear a black & blue sweatsuit please leave the heels at home.

Ashley Tisdale
One of SexyTrash's favorite celebrities, she could make a moo-moo look good.  While I'm typically anti-butterfly anything, she's pulling off these purple butterfly sweatpants.  Do yo thang girl.

Sienna Miller
She's working those Uggs like no one I've ever seen.  Look at that 'tude. Work it gurl.

Carrie Underwood
She's doing it right.  Just because she's comfy doesn't mean she needs to her whole look go out the window.    PS. I want her hair stylist.

Kendra Wilkinson
If you've seen any of her shows on E!, you know that Kendra isn't afraid to bum it.  And I love that about her.  She looks so comfortable, I wish I was wearing that right now.

Billy Ray Cyrus
Adding a little male flare to the bunch, I could have done without this ... Seriously, when is he going to cut his hair?  I truly thinking he's trying to grow it back out to the Achy-Breaky Heart style.

Last, but not least ...
Sean 'P.Diddy' Combs
Typically, I'm not into the whole "matchy-matchy" look - but boo, you make white sweats look good.

What's your favorite "lazy" outfit?  Share pics, we're dying to see.
Do you have an idea for Fashion Friday?  Share in the comments section!

You can have it "Any Way You Want It"

As a lover of 80's rock and musicals, how could I NOT be excited for the Rock of Ages movie?!?!?!  I've seen the musical, and absolutely LOVED it.  It's audience interactive, hilarious, and a rocking good time.  So I'm entering this movie with HIGH expectations.  With stars such as Mary J. Blige, Alec Baldwin, Russell Brand, Julianne Hough, Catherine Zeta Jones, and even Tom Cruise....I'm hoping it will be good.  Here is a sneak preview of Mary J, singing "Any Way You Want It".  She plays a madame of a strip club, just trying to make a living.  She's working it out in this song, and let's hope the whole movie follows suit.

Well...."I Wanna Rock".....don't you?

"Magic Mike" Cast Show Their Wands... We Wish.

When Channing Tatum is the ugliest male you have in a movie, you know you have cinematic gold.

The cast of this summer's upcoming movie about male strippers, Magic Mike, own the July 2012 cover of Entertainment Weekly, and our mouths are already watering.

Although the movie won't feature any full-frontal, we can enjoy the plethora of any girl would.

Nicki Minaj and Chris Brown: "Right By My Side"

As most Sexy Trash readers know, we are on an anti-Chris Brown stance and refuse to blog about any CB related news/videos/premieres. He has made his bed, now we force him to lie in it. By himself. In shame.

But there's an exception to every rule, and although we hate ourselves for it, it seems that the person that allows us to let woman beaters back in our lives is... Nicki Minaj.

Nicki and Chris Brown have released the video to her single, "Right By My Side." And it's not awful. Nicki looks gorgeous in it - toned down from the heavy blinking, twitching, pink wig wearing diva we're used to.

Chris Brown... is there. We will neither confirm nor deny if we enjoy his verse, but our hearts aren't happy with our decision.

Nicki, why must you make life so difficult?

At least you have Nas in the video to make up for it.

Pilot Prattle: "Partners"

Michael Urie. Sophia Bush. Kohan and Mutchnick (Creators of Will & Grace)

It's safe to say Sexy Trash has found its new favorite sitcom.

The show focuses on two business partners/best friends (one gay, one straight) as they navigate love and life. Based on the clip below, it seems very Will & Grace-y, but we're okay with that. In fact, we welcome it with open arms.

Put er' there, Partners. You're officially a part of our Fall TV Lineup.

Donna Summer, We'll Dance The Last Dance For You

Disco legend Donna Summer, 63, passed away this morning after a long cancer battle.

The chart-breaking, Grammy-winning diva gave us great songs such as "Last Dance," "She Works Hard For The Money," and "Bad Girls."

TMZ was the first to report the news, and the website also states that she was in the middle of recording an album.

Miss Summer, we'll miss you. Heaven has a special place for you.

Broadway to "Bring It On!"

Step aside, Elle Woods - there's another perky blonde headed to the Great White Way, and she's about to Bring It On!

It was announced earlier that Bring It On: The Musical will head to Broadway in July for previews, with an official August 1 opening. It is set to run through October 7, so buy your tickets quickly!

The musical has an original plot, but is loosely based on the 2000 movie of the same name... which kind of bums us out. We'd love to see Missy, Isis and Torrence do their thing on stage, but maybe a new batch of cheer-tators won't be so bad, either.

Based on the preview below, we're not 100% sold, but we're still going to give it a chance.

(Just kidding, Elle Woods... nobody will EVER take your spot in our hearts. Not even Lysistrata Jones.)

Call Me, Maybe? Jeremy Renner

This time last week, I was knee deep in tissues and allergy medicine, trying to figure out the path of least resistance when it came to breathing. Thankfully, modern medication did the trick, and I am back and better than ever.

Since I've come out of my medicated fervor, I've managed to see the hot new summer flick, "The Avengers". And I've managed to see it twice. I am becoming obsessed with it, but as someone who's always had a penchant for heroic epic fantasies, this shouldn't be much of a surprise.

Anyway, in "Avengers", one of the first heroes we meet is "Hawk Eye", a guy with no super powers--just an incredible ability to fire a fancy arrow at you. His name is Jeremy Renner, and the moment I felt assured he was single, I knew what I was writing about.

Maybe it's the way he snaps that fancy bow into place, maybe it's the intense serious look on his face as he's killing off bad guys (which is a face and a common theme in his recent slew of films).

But something about him in Avengers just made me wanna throw my number at him.

He's also the new Jason Bourne in the newest "Bourne" movie "Bourne Legacy" also coming out later this summer. I've already loved the "Bourne" to have Renner in that? Heaven.

When I started doing my research on Renner, I found an article that said to combat his loneliness (i.e. bachelor), he got a dog. A dog, Jeremy? Really? Come on. You know where to find us.

Here's our us, definitely.

Diva(s) of the Week

This week we have a tie of a couple women for the title.  We're going to honor some ladies that we've been with for 7 years now.  We've seen them go through divorces, marriages, births, deaths, and many more trials that life brings.  Through it all they managed to do it with class, style despite how they might have been a little bit....well....."desperate".  Yes, we're going to honor our ladies of Wisteria Lane who have come to an end, our Desperate Housewives.

We've seen housewives come and go for various reasons. Let's remember can we forget our first housewife, who voices it ALL, Mary Alice.  We meet Mary Alice, and soon see her go after her sudden suicide.  Mary Alice voices the seasons from then on and gives our ladies occasional guidance when they fall on hard times.

Another one of our favorite ladies was the Betty Applewhite.  She was the sassy woman with a big secret.  All the residents of Wisteria Lane knew there was something not right with her, and we were destined to find it out.  She was famous for keeping her son, Caleb, who was mentally challenged, locked in the basement. After many problems between her and the housewives, we only see her for one season and she and her son Caleb pack up and leave Wisteria Lane.

We also lost one of our original housewives after her death in the 5th season.  You either loved her or hated her, yes, we're talking about Edie Britt.  She was the vamp of Wisteria Lane, sleeping with many husbands, giving men the run around, and not only selling houses on the Lane.  Edie was killed in an accident after a dramatic happening on the lane.  We were sad to see her go, but saw her from time to time.

One of our other re-occuring housewives, that came and went was Katherine Mayfair.  She was never one of my favorites and not really a favorite on the Lane either.  Katherine tried to win over Mike and had many a spats with Susan.  We see her for 3 seasons, before she leaves with her befriended stripper girlfriend and travels to Paris.

One more lady we've seen since the beginning is one of my favorites.  She adds the comedy, the dry humor, and at times her story lines make us sob.  We're talking about everyone's favorite grumpy old nosy neighbor,  Karen McCluskey.  She's been with the housewives since the beginning, knowing all the gossip on the Lane.  We recently have had tears mixed with her comedy when she was diagnosed with cancer.  She is a class act and has guided the housewives in the right direction and they've helped her as well.  We love Karen and she made the Lane all the better.

The most recently added housewife has been Renee Perry.  Originally brought on as Lynette's old college roomate, she came and stayed.  She is the sassy, classy, all night partying gal who has recently settled down and preparing to be married.  She's helped many of the housewives and has staked her claim on the Lane, only to see it come to an end.  We've loved having her for this past season.

And then, with a tear in our eye, we've had our original four ladies.  We've been with them through thick in thin.  The loss of husbands, family, children, being on trial, being divored, married, and remarried.  We're ABSOLUTELY so sad to see this show and our ladies go.  I haven't watched the finale yet, mostly because I just can't bare to watch it all end.  It's Friends and Will and Grace all over again. We bid a sad goodbye and all of our love to the ladies of Wisteria Lane.  We hope to see more from them in the future.  So cheers to our ladies, and our DIVAS of the week.  We'll miss you......

American Idol TOP 4!

Here we go, our top 4, FULL of talent, charisma, uniqueness and.....wait....wrong show.  Well, no matter, they all really do possess all of those qualities and this final is going to quite a show.  This week we said goodbye to Hollie, which was not a big surprise.  But let's see some of the performances this week that KILLED it.

Our first one is our recent Idol cast-off, but she truly did kill this song.  She was a cute little blondie, with a big voice and Irish accent, but just America just didn't give her the votes. Here she is singing "Faithfully" by Journey.

Another fave performance of this week was the duet between our boys, Joshua and Phillip.  They sang Maroon 5's "This Love" and we LOVED it.  They are both so cute, and we're in love, although we're still not too sure what team Joshua is playing for. Still either way, we love both of them.

Next, we wouldn't have a week without our girl Jessica. It's no surprise that she absolutely KILLED this song! Here she sings "And I Am Telling You...." from Dreamgirls and boy do we believe her.  She's telling us she is not going anywhere, and for this week, she was right.

Lastly, here is our boy Joshua.  All the contestants have talent and are fantastic, but Joshua, oh my lorddd, just takes us to church and BACK again every week!!!! He absolutely murdered, killed, and resurrected his version of "It's a Man's Man's Man's World".   A-MENNNNN.

So we bid adieu to Hollie and wish her luck.  The competition is getting stiff and tough.  What will our top 3 bring next week? Well all I can say is they better be BRINGING it ALLLLL.

Lysistrata Jones!

The staff at Sexy Trash have what you could call... obsessive personalities. We just can't help it that some entertainment is so good that we need it in our lives. Jennifer's Body, Glee (the music, not the plot - don't get it twisted), The Hunger Games... you get the idea.

Our most current obsession is Lysistrata Jones. It opened on Broadway in December 2011 and ran 30 performances before it was closed prematurely. The story follows Lysistrata "Lyssie J" Jones, a new student at Athens University. After she begins dating the captain of the constantly-losing basketball team, she inspires the girlfriends of all of the team members to stop having sex with their boyfriends until they finally win a game.

The music has a very Legally Blonde feel, and although the show only ran for 30 performances, we found time in our busy schedules to see it three times. We don't regret it for a second, and our only complaint was that there was no soundtrack for us to enjoy after seeing the show... We only had our memories to keep us excited.

Until now. This Tuesday, the soundtrack was finally released, and the music is just as great as we remember. We may have already had a dance party in the Sexy Trash offices with full choreography. And half-assed costumes.

Do yourself a favor and download the soundtrack on iTunes for $9.99 RIGHT NOW.

Diva of the Week....the Mother Edition...

With Mother's Day coming up, I thought that it would be appropriate to honor some great mothers this week.  I know we here at Sexytrash all have some wonderful mothers/moms/mamas/moos and we love them very much.  We have two ladies who are our divas of the week.  They're family, in fact mother and daughter.  I'm talking about Tina and Beyonce Knowles.

Tina is a great clothing designer and made many of the outfits that were worn by Destiny's Child back in the day.  She has her own clothing line Miss Tina and head of the House of Dereon.  She's a great grandma for her grandson Daniel and her brand new baby granddaughter, Blue Ivy.  She's a gorgeous woman, who's been a great mom, and we can tell by just looking at Solange and Beyonce.

Now we have to mention our girl BEYONCE!  We were so excited for her baby to come, we felt it was our own family.  When baby Blue was born, mass texts were sent SO fast, no one was left behind. Take a look at the first released photo of them.  Of course Bey looks gorgeous and Blue is as cute as a button!!!

Beyonce was the most gorgeous pregnant woman and we love seeing the pictures of her and Blue bonding with mommy/baby day out.

Here we end with a three generation picture of Tina, Bey, and Blue on a day out.  We're proud to honor these two great moms and the many more that we see.

So Happy Mother's Day to all the diva mom's out there.  I know I'll be celebrating with my mom, where I get my diva from.  Love ya Mom!!!! <3

Call Me Maybe... Again

We will never get sick of Carly Rae Jepsen's "Call Me Maybe" or any of its Youtube covers. The original Youtube lip sync starring Ashley Tisdale, Justin Bieber, and Selena Gomez went viral instantly, causing a string of tribute videos to pop up... (including the one Sexy Trash & Friends created). Since then, others have jumped on the Carly Rae train, including Katy Perry and now... the hosts of E!'s Fashion Police.

To be honest, we could do without the E! staff in the video, but we're loving the celeb cameos!!

Let's be real - the next people we want to see do this video is the cast of Glee. Heather Morris, get on it.

Fashion Friday: Olé!

In honor of Cinco de Mayo, I bring you a post full of celebrities in sombreros.  You're welcome.

Snooks loves her sombreros.

sombrero Brit Brit.

Queen Latifah, lookin fly gurl.

Last, but definitely not least...

Pope Benedict XVI does it right.

Y'all best be donnin' those sombreros tomorrow.  Send me pics, I'd love to see.  Me ENCANTA los sobreros.

Adios muchachos. Xo, Jes

American Idol....seriously?!

Ok, see this is WHY reality shows and I have a love/hate relationship.  America, what are you thinking....seriously?!  We all remember a couple weeks ago when I posted about Colton Dixon being the idol cast off.  But now this week we lost Skylar Laine!!!!! She is an absolute star, and actually someone who again, I have no doubt will get a recording contract, but COME ON!!!!  I'm using this week to post some of Skylar's best performances, because I think she deserves it.  She is a younger Reba McEntire and owns the country scene.  Even though country is not everyone's forte, she rocks out every performance and has a fantastic personality to go with it.  She is going to be giving the honorary title of "Diva of the Week".   I certainly WILL be buying her album when it comes out and wish her the very best.  America, strap yourselves in and get with the program.  The competition is getting tougher, and it's a bumpy ride.

Here she is performing "Shameless" on Billy Joel week.  She has no shame and never should!

Watch her perform and KILL "Wind Beneath My Wings".  Chills, goosies, and completely wowed!  Amazing. This is one of my favorites from the season.

Proving that she can take any song and make it a hit, country or pop, she takes "Born This Way" and owns it.

In her final week performance, she sang "You Don't Have to Say You Love Me" and it was fabulous.  She had all of the soul and heart of Dusty Springfield.

Best of luck girl, we know you'll become a star.

Justin, Please Be Our "Boyfriend!"

We've been waiting FOREVERRRRRRRRRRRRRRR and it's finally here! Justin Bieber's swag-tastic video to his hit single, "Boyfriend."
We don't really understand the cut halfway in, but we do know Justin has never looked better. And say what you want about his earlier music, but this song is pure sex. We can not get enough of this song or this video.

We don't get the "Chunky Bieber," but it is what it is...

Throwback Thursday: These Boots Are Made for Walkin'

In honor of Maxwell Drew's (who contrary to popular belief is indeed a baby girl) birth to Jessica Simpson this week, you know today's Throwback Thursday video had to be by our girl JSimp!! Although we never idolized her like we did Britney or Christina, a quick flip through Jess's YouTube channel reminded us how much we used to loved listening to her fun pop songs.

To really pay tribute to Jessica at her best, we're going back to 2005 and busting out our cowgirl boots. Jessica's remake of the famous song "These Boots Are Made for Walkin" was our favorite booty shaking song of the summer of 2005. We even went to see "The Dukes of Hazzard" movie just because she was in it! Her body is so on point in this video, it's hard to even pay attention to anything else. Put on your daisy dukes and shake it along with this week's throwback song!

Character Crackdown: Adele

This week for Character Crackdown I decided to highlight the best (and the worst) covers of Adele seen all across our TV screens. Brace yourselves, this could get ugly.

Everyone WET themselves when "21" hit the scene, including myself. It's an amazing album and one that'll go down in history as being not only one of the most successful, but most artistically genuine. Within a few weeks, people couldn't keep their hands (and their poorly trained vocal chords) off of her songs.

Let's start with the greatest offender: Rolling In The Deep. The song is a personal favorite, despite the fact that it got overplayed about a minute after it hit the airwaves.

This is the closest thing to "okay" as we're gonna get here. It all goes downhill after this...

For some reason, the video of her actual audition for "The Voice" couldn't be found. Here's Vicci Martinez on tour, killing (and not in a good way) it.

From the costume, to the twerked up remix, to her nasally voice, to THE RAP SECTION, I just have to ask....WHAT IS THIS?!?!? WHY DID THIS HAPPEN?!? WHO SAID THIS WAS OKAY?!??!?!

Now let's move on to the number one ballad of the know, the one where Adele showed up out of the blue uninvited--Someone Like You. This one's a little easier to pull off, as the vocals here aren't as insane as the previous song. But it still ain't that pretty...

While I can appreciate taking a bit of a harder approach to Just stop. Call me a purist, but it's gotta be a piano and heart breaking vocals or I'm out.

She sounds like she's in physical pain.

Here's a few random covers that very brave people did.

Like really? Come on. The only successful cover of "Rumor Has It" can be found in the amazing Glee Mash Up with "Someone Like You".

I just...what am I supposed to do with things like this? Now we know what Adele will sound like in 20 years and a few dozen cartons of cigarettes from now.

And for the record, whoever said the infant children singing Adele were vocal prodigies were...well, they're straight up crazy.

Ya wanna know what's remarkable about this little girl? We can understand her, as opposed to every other 2 year old on YouTube mumbling and bumbling about. She'll be the only YouTube baby who doesn't rush to take down all their embarrassing baby videos when they're 13.

I know we all love Adele, and can think of no better way to honor her than by crooning right along side her. But do me a favor, save it for your friends, or your car, or the karaoke bar. Keep the camera turned off. Thanks!
