American Idol Top 8

This is....okay okay, you get it. AMERICAN IDOL....yeah, said it anyway. PSH! OK, but here goes. This week our Idols were taking on songs of the 80's. Not only a crowd pleaser, but should be a judge pleaser as well, we hope. The week brought some definite stars and some awesome duets! So here we go....

Our top performance this week is of a girl that has not been featured on our rundown before, she is one of our faves, but just hadn't brought it enough. This week however, WOW, POW, WHAM BAM THANK YOU MAAM! She brought it, and brought tears to our eyes. So without further ado, here is Skylar Laine singing "Wing Beneath My Wings".

This week there were some duets, and they were definitely fantastic, so they take the place of our top male this week. The boys were very good, but consistent. So we're going to feature the powerhouse duets that ensued.

Here are Skylar and Colton singing "Islands in the Stream" by Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers.

Bring together the two powerhouses of the season, here are Jessica and Joshua singing "I Knew You Were Waiting" by Aretha Franklin and George Michael.

Showing just how pumped they are, here we have DeAndre and Hollie singing "I'm So Excited" by the Pointer Sisters.

Lastly, our soulful couple of Phillip and Elise sing "Stop Draggin My Heart Around" by Tom Petty and Stevie Nicks.

Our castoff this week was the falsetto bearing, curly cued cutie, DeAndre. He was such a unique talent, but the judges did not vote to use their save and bring him back. Here we send him off with his 80's song, "I Like It" .
