Slightly Horrified, Intensely Intrigued: The Devil's Carnival

We've heard about the dark musical, Repo: The Genetic Opera (starring Anthony Stuart Head and Paris Hilton) before, but we were never pushed to see it. It just looked weird, and Paris Hilton was starring in a musical about organ financing, for Heaven's sake; some things are made just for audiences to hate.

However, the creators are at it again. This time, trading in for a slightly more talented cast and a plot that, while still very dark and weird, is a tad more interesting to normal audiences.

The Devil's Carnival focuses around three individuals that have somehow found their way to a carnival set in Hell that's run by the Devil. The trio is made up of an obsessed father, a kleptomaniac, and a heartbroken teenager (played by 90210's Jessica Lowndes), all of whom are doomed to repeat the very sins that delivered them to Hell in the first place.
While we're not okay watching a movie where the Devil is a CLOWN, it does spark our interest. Jessica's voice has been on our iPods for a while now, and if the haunting song below is any indication, the tracks from this film are really going to send chills down our spines.
