"Revenge" Season Finale Will Answer Season 1 Questions While Setting Up New Cliffhanger
We've loved Revenge since the very first episode began. Scratch that; we loved Revenge since the promos. But week after week, it just keeps getting better. The "winter finale" in February finally answered questions we've been asking since the pilot, but left us with even more. In the episode, manipulative/batshit crazy Tyler (Ashton Holmes) was murder, and baby-faced rich boy Daniel Grayson (Josh Bowman) was accused of the crime.
Creator and executive producer, Mike Kelley, told Paleyfest attendees that this "answers with a new set of questions" would not be the last of its kind on the hit show.
“We’re going to end things with a cliffhanger," he said. "If we’re lucky enough to get a second season, we’ll be teasing another giant event that will be resolved in some way midway through the season, followed by the aftermath of that. From here this season, we’ll be setting up new alliances and new incidents. But what we set out to do as we move toward the finale is provide solutions to everything we’ve set up. Because while we’re hoping for that second season, it’s not a guarantee, and we want to make sure we satisfy everyone who put their time and care into this show.”
Mr. Kelley, we truely appreciate that. While we love cliffhangers as much as the next person, we're still asking ourselves if Veronica Mars's father won the election in the season three finale or if Dave and Marcy ever got together on Grosse Pointe...
