HUGE Doctor Who Casting News

For awhile now rumors have been swirling about the BBC cult hit, "Doctor Who". Word was that the Doctor's two companions, married couple Amy and Rory, would be leaving after 2 seasons on the show.

Welp, the rumors are true.

The Doctor with Amy and Rory

Head writer Steven Moffat announced today that the two actors (Amy played by Karen Gillan and Rory played by Arthur Darvill) would leave in episode 5 of the new season. "Amy and Rory will leave in a final encounter with the Weeping Angels in ep. 5. Not everyone comes out alive this time, I mean it" Moffat said.

The most terrifying thing to hit my TV screen, and what will take out Amy and Rory

The new companion will be a British soap actress, Jenna-Louise Coleman. According to her facebook page, she had a small role on Boston Legal and had a part in the recent "Captain America" film.

Here are the tweets that hit the interwebs today, explaining everything:

Jenna looks cute and adorable, but she doesn't strike me as someone who's as fierce as they need to be to keep up with all the Doctor's adventures. Though really, I'm more concerned with how heartbreaking Amy and Rory's departure will be. Every other "companion" to leave has left in a devastatingly sad way. Don't believe me? Take a look:

I can't imagine how heartbreaking this new departure will be. And with the terrifying "Weeping Angels" involved? Ohhhhhh Jeez. I'll be crying and scared to look the whole time.
