Doctor Who And The City?

Looks like a Doctor Who Alumni is leaving the BBC behind, moving on to a bigger and better "City".

Freema Agyeman has been slated to play "Larissa" in the Sex and the City prequel, "The Carrie Diaries". Larissa will be the "hip, cutting edge, editor/party girl" of the magazine our young little Carrie will frequenting. Larissa will also be a quasi-mentor for the young Bradshaw, previously reported as being played by Anna Sophia Robb.

Everyone's least favorite Companion...though arguably the prettiest

Agyeman previously played "Martha Jones" for a season of "Doctor Who", and to be honest--she was my least favorite "companion" in the series thus far (not because SHE was bad, her character just wasn't for me). After "Who", she became a lawyer on the BBC's "Law and Order: UK", where for another season she was teamed up with another "Who" alumni, Peter Davison (i.e. the 5th Doctor).

Law and Order: UK. Yes, in court everyone wears the wigs.

I'll be happy to see a familiar face in the CW prequel to every woman's televised bible. And I'm so excited to see Freema in something that's not a dull British courtroom or another alien planet.
