She's Backkkkkkkkkkk

Known best for playing the title role in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Sarah Michelle Gellar has been (more or less) out of the public eye since the show's finale in 2003. Sure, we may have had a failed direct to DVD movie here or there... or a glossy spread of her child with Freddie Prinze, Jr. in an entertainment magazine or two. But compared to how much she showed up in the late 90's, she's basically unseen these days...

But perhaps not for long. Baby Girl Gellar (10 points for anyone who recognizes this from somewhere else...) is giving up roles in less than great movies to come back to where she belongs: TV. We miss seeing her face on our screens every week, and we couldn't be more excited.

CBS cast her in the pilot for their new drama, Ringer. The show revolves around a woman who is on the run from the mafia, so she pretends to be her twin sister. Little does this bitch know that her twin has secrets of her own that she must face...

Okay, so... its no teenage vampire slayer trying to survive high school, but it could be promising. Maybe? Better than some of her other career choices, that's for sure. And anything with two SMGs on our screen sounds like heaven to us. We can only hope that she gets to lay some good old fashioned ass-kicking down on the mafia so we can have a taste of the Buffster we missed so much...

Now if only she can pull Kristen Bell out of her crappy movie slump and have her co-star somehow...
